Xiaomi Note users take a note! Xiaomi launched the Redmi 2 Prime, it is in no mood of stopping. It launched Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 with Mediatek Helio X10 Chipset officially in China. Seems like Xiaomi-Mediatek is back again to rock the note world again. The Mediatek Helio X10 Chipset (MT6795) has already run very successfully in some mobiles before. Adding to it, is the 2GB RAM which has been the same since the last note.
{adinserter 3}There will be three variants here which Xiaomi has offered to us according to our need. They are
- 2.0 GHz Helio X10 and 16GB ROM ~ Rs. 8152/- ( $124.88)
- Same hardware with LTE support ~ Rs. 9172($140.51)
- 2.2 GHz Helio X10 and 32 GB ROM ~ Rs. 10,192 ( $ 156.14)
The Antutu scores of this Note (54,042) is higher that of Huawei P8 (47,032) and Meizu MX5 (29,144). Is it time for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G users to update to Note 2?
Some other features of the phone includes a 5.5 inch 1920 x 1080 display, with an upgrade to the screen resolution from 720 x 1280 pixels. Added with it is the HDR sunlight technology which improves viewing better in direct sunlight. This thing is also present in the Xiaomi Mi4i. The phone will come in MIUI 6 and will hopefully get the MIUI 7 when it will be launched officially on 19th August worldwide.
Once again they have maintained the 13MP-5MP duo with slight changes. The rear 13MP camera has CMOS sensor from Samsung and the front 5MP OV model. This time the camera comes with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) which would deliver high end without much hassle and hardwork.
The phone will be available in 5 exciting colors – White, Blue, Yellow, Pink and Mint Green which is 4 more colors as compared to the Note 4G. The phone measures 152 x 76 x 8.25 mm and weighs 160 grams (25 grams lesser that the predecessor). The battery capacity has been brought down by 60 mAh making it a 3060 mAh capacity battery which might be an issue since the screen resolution had been bettered. Or might be a slight problem for those who opt for the LTE version on Note 2.
