Xiaomi Redmi 3 is the first gadget from Xiaomi this year. The phone has been priced at $105, which is Rs. 7011.89 in the Indian currency. Xiaomi phone are known for their cheap pricing and stuffed up specs in their phones. This phone comes with full metal chassis and fast charging battery of 4100 mAh capacity.
A big capacity battery usually forces you to think that the phone will be thick to accommodate the power bank. But Xiaomi has managed to keep the device owing to the high energy density tech that has been used. The battery and metal chassis have been confirmed a couple of days back on Weibo.
Xiaomi Redmi 3 will have a 5 inch IPS LCD display with a screen density of 267ppi. However, nothing is known about the screen protection yet. This Xiaomi flagship will weigh only 144 grams and will have dimensions 139.3 x 69.4 x 8.5 mm. It will have a 3.5 mm jack slot and loudspeakers.
Under the hood, Xiaomi Redmi 3 will be a dual SIM card phone that supports GSM/HSPA/LTE. Other wireless connectivity are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth, A-GPS and microUSB. It will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop, 2 GB RAM, quad core Snapdragon 616 running at 1.5 GHz and Adreno 405 GPU.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 is a dual camera device with 13 MP rear camera with LED Flash, auto focus, f/2.2, face/smile detection and 5 MP front camera. In terms of memory, the internal slot is of 16 GB and the external slot is of 128 GB which will use the second SIM slot. The phone will be available in 3 colors – Black, Silver and Gold.
The phone stands pretty clear with a handsome metal chassis and a mini power bank installed within. As of now, the phone will be kept within China only. Let’s see how long they can keep it.
