The company has been coming out with a number of releases, and has been doing exceptional work in the markets of technology. There have been many changes which have been made to their offering over the years. The company, primarily known for smartphones, is also making television sets, mosquito repellents and bicycles. Xiaomi has now released their latest tech toy, a laptop. The Mi Notebook Air comes out as Xiaomi’s first ever laptop.
Even before this laptop was announced, there were rumors that the company is planning to enter the PC markets. And this has finally happened. Xiaomi has now officially released their latest device – the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. This laptop comes out as a lookalike of various Apple laptops. It comes out with a fully-metal body. This laptop was launched at the same event Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Redmi Note Pro.
The Mi Notebook Air comes out in the markets in two variants. One featuring a 12.5 inched screen and the other featuring a 13.3 inched screen. The larger of the two devices is priced in at CNY 4999. It comes out with a a sixth generation Intel Core i5 processor. The processor is coupled with Nvidia GeForce 940MX GPU aided by 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM. The laptop runs on 8GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 256GB PCIe SSD. It also features a second SSD slot. The battery life of the laptop is 9.5 hours, which charges up to 50% in half an hour.
The second of the two devices is the smaller, 12.5 inched Mi Notebook Air. It features an Intel Core M3 processor, with 4GB of RAM, and a 128GB SATA SSD alongside a second SSD slot. The laptop features a battery life of 11.5 hours. Both laptops release with an HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Users can unlock laptops with the Xiaomi Mi Band 2. Silver and Gold variants of the laptops are available.
