Users of T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones have just received a great news! The official Android Nougat OS update has finally started rolling out for them! Samsung, which is never typically known for quick updates, no longer wants the people to perceive them as slow! The company has been rolling out update after update, and today the T-Mobile users are getting it.
At the moment the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users who were enrolled to the Galaxy Beta program are getting this update. Other users too, are expected to get this update in a day or two. Samsung has been rolling out the Android Nougat OS for their flagship devices in phases. In January, reports of the first rollout emerged from Europe. Today, the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users are getting it.
This update was announced on the Galaxy Beta app. The app has a ‘Beta Notices’ section where the company notifies the users of the upcoming updates. It was here that it was announced that the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users will be getting the Android Nougat OS update. At the moment this is an OTA update only.
This update has already started off for those using the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphones. It comes out at 117 MB in size, and offers the users with the latest version of the Android Security Patch dated the 1st of February, 2017. While the update is out for the beta users at the moment, regular users too, should start getting this update over the next few weeks.
Android Nougat OS is now running on over 1% of all Android smartphones, and has been growing rather quickly. With the Samsung flagship now joining the party, the numbers are all set to rise for Nougat!
