The 2014 devices suddenly got the latest February 2017 Android Security update. T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S4 last got an update in the December of 2015, 14 months ago! The last update for Tab 3 came out in August of 2015. It has been quite a while, and T-Mobile has indeed surprised a lot of users. However this is not even the first time they have done so. 2 year old ZTE Max smartphone got the Android security update of November 2016 out of the blue!
