Over the past few years it has been noticed that leaks are getting increasingly common in the world of technology. This has been observed in the smartphone markets more than any other segment. Among one of the most popular sources of leaked information is leaksters on Twitter, and Evan Blass is perhaps the most well-known of them. The man has been behind various leaks, and his latest Tweet throws some more light on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones.
I’ve been seeing this misreported quite a bit, so, just to clarify:
GS8 – 5.8″ QHD
GS8+ – 6.2″ QHD
Both displays are, ofc, SAMOLED.

There have been many rumors and confusions around the Samsung Galaxy S8. The biggest confusion however, has been regarding the screen size. Various leaks have pointed out various sizes. However, Evan has now tweeted to clear all confusion, stating that the regular Samsung Galaxy S8 will release with a 5.8 inched display, while the plus sized variant will come out with a 6.2 inch sized display.
Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphones are likely to be teased later this month at the Mobile World Congress 2017, and they will be shown off in all their glory sometime in the month of late-March or early-April. While the screen sizes might sound very large, the fact is that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be coming out with a massive screen-to-body ratio. This means that the phones might remain the same size but can carry larger displays!
Interestingly, it looks like LG too, is planning something similar. The upcoming LG G6 smartphone has been teased on the invites showcasing a very large, bezel-free screen. Samsung Galaxy S8 is all set to feature a massive display, as the company has also dropped the home button! Samsung has been known to be one of the rare few brands that still carry the physical button, and it looks like they too, will be dropping it with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones!
