Samsung has been coming out with a large number of smartphones every year. They want to ensure that they have something for everyone and have been coming out with phones ranging in all budgets. The company is now working on their latest J-series smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017). The phone was spotted in TENAA listings a few days ago. Today, press renders and specifications have leaked as well. Let us take a closer look at the upcoming device from Samsung.
Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) Specifications:
This upcoming Samsung smartphone is expected to come out into the markets with a different design than we are used to. We pointed this out when images leaked in the TENAA listing. The same has now been spotted in the press renders as well. The phone would run on a 5 inched HD TFT display featuring a 720p resolution. It is a change of strategy as last years’ J3 came with an AMOLED display.
The Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) will be powered by an Exynos 7570 processor. This chipset has a quad-core ARM Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.4 GHz and a Mali T-720 GPU. The phone would run on the same 2600mAh battery that powered the 2016 variant. Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is also expected to come out into the markets with a 3GB RAM (doubled from last year) and a 32GB storage space (also doubled from last year)
However what we find to be the most interesting aspect of the Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is the fact that the phone would run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. This means that Samsung finally has the base ready. It is interesting because the Samsung Galaxy J3, an entry level Samsung smartphone would be running on the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS out of the box while the Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung’s flagship smartphone would still be on Android 7.0 Nougat OS!
