The Yu Yuphoria is one of the latest sub 10k smartphone released in the Indian market that has captured the fancy of many young buyers. It’s been selling like hot cakes, and part of the reason it stands out among its other competitors is that it’s running CyanogenMod. But to unlock the true potential of the phone and try out other custom ROMs like Cyanogen, one must root their Yuphoria.
- You must have an internet connection as we will need to download a few things!
- Your phone also must be charged over 80%

Download the Super SU zip file into your phone. Put it in the root directory of your SD card or somewhere else where you can find it quickly and boot into your custom recovery of choice.
Next up choose the super SU zip file that you downloaded in Step 1. If it is TWRP, then swipe to install. Or else click to install the zip! Once it’s done, reboot into the system.
Check if the Super SU app is there. Download root validator app from this link to confirm you have root! That’s it, you’ve successfully rooted your Yu Yuphoria without PC.
