ZTE-owned Nubia brand of smartphones have been rather popular for their feature heavy smartphones. One such device was the Nubia Z9 Mini. However, the one thing missing from this smartphone was VoLTE support. This has now been added to the device following an update. The update is now live and users can download it from Nubia India’s website’s ‘support’ section.

The Z9 Mini has been a very popular phone but this feature was missing in it since quite a while. With this update, users will now be able to make use of Voice over LTE technology. VoLTE has become quite popular in India following the arrival of Reliance Jio. In addition to VoLTE, this update to the Nubia Z9 Mini smartphone also brings in Android Security Patches from Google.

In addition to this, the latest update to Nubia Z9 Mini updates the Nubia UI to 4.0. Following this, Nubia has introduced their Frame Interactive Technology into the Nubia Z9 mini smartphone. This technology allows the users to interact with the phone’s screen’s edges. A new calendar app and a new file manager called ‘my file’.

This phone was launched in India in 2015, and was priced in at INR 16,999.  It comes with a 5 inched full-HD display and runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (quad-core Cortex-A53 1.5GHz + quad-core Cortex-A53 1GHz) processor. The Nubia Z9 Mini features 2GB RAM, and 16GB of built-in storage space. It can be expanded up to 128GB in storage space with the help of MicroSD cards.

The Nubia Z9 Mini features a 16MP primary camera that features the NeoVision technology from Nubia and an 8MP front camera. The phone features a 2900mAh battery, and is quite an impressive device. Nubia, in their media statement promised to surprise the Indian markets with even more phone releases in the next few months.
