OnePlus 5T has been the talk of the town. The successor to the OnePlus 5, this gen-next smartphone from OnePlus has been making rounds on the internet. Various leaked images, renders, and specs have emerged but only limited details have surfaced. The phone is all set to launch in a week’s time and the company has given us some hints about what to expect from the OnePlus 5T.

The pricing details of the upcoming OnePlus device recently surfaced and it has now come to light that the phone would be priced in at Rs. 32,999 for the base model. OnePlus is also looking forward to slashing the price of the existing OnePlus 5 devices.

No Wireless Charging in OnePlus 5T

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed on the forums that the phone will come out with Dash Charge technology. While that was a good news, it was then followed by a disappointment that the phone will not support wireless charging. The CEO confirmed this fact in the OnePlus forums.

While wireless charging is quickly becoming the norm for many modern-day smartphones, this technology yet to make its debut on the OnePlus devices. It was highly anticipated that perhaps the OnePlus 5T might feature it, but it looks like we will now have to wait for OnePlus 6.

Design Details Emerge

Furthermore, reports have indicated that the phone is expected to come out with a bezel-less display and will feature pretty much the same specifications as the regular OnePlus 5. The fingerprint scanner on this device is expected to be moved to the back to accommodate the large display.

The design of the device is expected to resemble Oppo’s recent release, the Oppo R11s. It is worth noting that Oppo and OnePlus both come from the same parent brand so this is quite a possibility. Stay tuned with us for more details as the phone launches on the 16th of November.
