Motorola has been among the biggest names when it comes to the world of smartphone technology. The company introduced the Moto Z and Moto Z Force as their premium smartphones last year. However, while the Moto Z Force was a Verizon exclusive smartphone, things will be different this year. Reports have been pouring in stating that other carriers too will have the Moto Z2 Force this year. These includes the likes of T-Mobile and possibly Sprint as well.
As per a Tweet from popular tipster Evan Blass (@EVLeaks), it is expected that the Moto Z2 Force is certain to release with T-Mobile too. The image that Evan has tweeted alongside his post indicates a yellow and black color scheme, possibly giving a hint that the Moto Z2 Force might release with Sprint as well. As of now T-Mobile and Verizon are considered to be ‘locked’, and at least one more carrier is expected to bring the phone to the markets.
Motorola’s gen-next Moto Z2 smartphone is expected to release in Q3 2017, and is likely to be announced by June. The Moto Z2 Force is likely to be announced a few weeks after the Moto Z2 comes out. Current speculations indicate that the phones will both be featuring a Snapdragon 835 processor and will run on a minimum of 4GB RAM.
The Moto Z2 Force will feature a shatterproof glass which would be more protective than that of the regular phone. The phone is expected to be a more of a ‘rough and tough’ outdoorsy device, and will also feature a larger battery. The phone is quite similar in functioning to what Samsung has to offer with the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active.
Motorola looks like they are going to have quite a busy year ahead of them. With the Moto C, Moto E4, Moto X 2017 and Moto Z2 and Moto Z2 Force coming up, it looks like we are going to hear a lot from the company than we usually do. Stay tuned with us for more Motorola-related updates.
