Motorola’s gen-next smartphone in the Moto G series, the Moto G5 was recently announced at the Mobile World Congress. India is typically one of the first countries to get this series of smartphones, and this year has been no exception. The phone was announced in India today, and the pricing and availability details for the Moto G5 Plus was revealed. Only the Plus sized Moto G smartphone was released. Motorola says they will release the regular Moto G5 in the coming weeks. Let us take a closer look –

Moto G5 Plus Specs:

Motorola’s gen-next smartphone, the Moto G5 Plus comes out into the markets with a 5.2 inched, full-HD display. The phone features an AMOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. A 2GHz Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC powers the smartphone, and it comes out in two variants.

The first of the two variants features 3 GB of RAM and comes out with 16 GB of storage space. The second variant releases with 4 GB of RAM along with 32 GB of storage space. The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity and comes out into the markets with a 3000mAh battery. The phone features a 12 MP primary camera and a 5 MP front camera.

Moto G5 Plus Pricing and Availability Details:

The pricing and availability details of the smartphone too, were announced. The Moto G5 Plus comes out into the markets in two variants, as stated above. The phone will be priced in at INR 14,999 for the 3 GB RAM and 16 GB storage variant. The pricing for the 4 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variant has been announced to be INR 16,999. Both the phones are exclusive to Indian ecommerce giant Flipkart. 

While these phones look a little pricier than compared to the traditional Moto G smartphones in the past, these are the G Plus devices. Motorola will also launch the regular Moto G5 in the coming weeks, which is expected to be priced in at more affordable rates. The phones will go on sale from tonight at 11:59 PM.
