A market leader in developing Systems-On-Chip, MediaTek helps power over 1.5 devices every year. Today, MediaTek has announced their latest SoC in the Helio P series, the MediaTek Helio P25. This is the gen-next version of the Helio P20, and has its focus towards image and graphic processing. This SoC has been created keeping in mind the need of dual-cameras on gen-next smartphones.
The MediaTek Helio P25 also comes with 16nm Octa-core processing technology. It combines this with ‘Imagiq’ which is a superior Image Signal Processor (ISP) technology that helps power better imagery on dual-camera smartphones. Thanks to this Imagiq technology, the users can make use of advanced effects such as providing a shallow depth of field and making the images better than ever before. It won’t be an overstatement to say that this might soon result in a DSLR like precision!
On the processor front, the MediaTek Helio P25 features the octa-cored Cortex A-53 CPU, and the Mali-T880 GPU. In addition to that, this SoC can support up to 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM. This is indeed a powerful SoC. MediaTek also claims that the MediaTek Helio P25 is 25% more power efficient than their past SoCs, thanks to the 16nm FinFET process node.

- High Dynamic Range: Video HDR with full preview will now be possible, thanks to the MediaTek Helio P25.
- High Performance Auto Exposure: Turbo 3A to accelerate AE convergence speed by 30-55%
