When Huawei announced their gen-next smartphones at the Mobile World Congress 2017, it seemed that one piece of the puzzle was missing. Huawei launched the Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus at the event. However multiple leaks in the past had shown that there was one more variant of the device – a ‘Lite’ variant. The Huawei P10 Lite has finally been announced today.
The P10 Lite comes out into the markets as a ‘lite’ or a stripped down version of the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus smartphones. The Huawei P10 Lite is also priced in at a lesser price when compared to the aforementioned smartphones. The phone has officially been launched in the UK and has been priced in at GBP 299. The phone will be available for pre-orders from Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone and EE. It will go on sale from the 31st of March.
Huawei P10 Lite Specifications
Huawei’s latest ‘Lite’ edition smartphone, the Huawei P10 Lite comes out with a 5.2 inched full-HD display. It comes with a 2.5D curved glass in the front and a metal body. The phone is indeed a goodlooking device and complements the flagship phone it releases alongside. The phone features Midnight Black and Platinum Gold options with ceramic sandblasted finish on the back.
One major change on the Huawei P10 Lite compared to the regular variants is that here the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back. The phone runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android Nougat OS. The Huawei P10 Lite runs on 2.15GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 658 SoC with Mali-T830MP2 GPU coupled with 4GB of RAM. It features 32 GB of storage space which is expandable with the help of Micro SD cards.
Unlike the flagship phones that came out earlier this year, the Huawei P10 Lite features a single camera of 12 MP in the back. The camera comes with the same Leica branding as the original devices. It features an 8 MP camera in the front as well. The phone also comes out with 3000 mAh battery. The phone supports 4G LTE connectivity.
