How to Install CM12.1 (Android 5.1 Lollipop) in Redmi 1S?

Things Required :
- Redmi 1S (with Custom Recovery Installed) [IMP]
- Download CyanogenMod 12.1 for Redmi 1S
- Gapps for Android Lollipop
Step 1 : Download the CM12.1 and Google Apps in your Redmi 1S.
This guide assumes that your Redmi 1S already has Custom Recovery installed in it, in case it doesn’t have then do a quick search on Google for the steps regarding the installation of custom recovery and follow a suitable guide. Now download both the files and store it in the outermost/root directory of your Storage.
Step 2 : Reboot/Boot into Recovery Mode.
Once you’ve downloaded the files, boot into recovery mode where you’ll have to Flash the ROM, To boot into recovery mode press and hold “Volume Up + Power Key” during the booting. Depending on the recovery, you will see different options in it, In case it doesn’t boot into recovery mode then follow this guide : “Reboot into Recovery mode without Pressing Keys“.
Step 3 : Flash the CM12.1 and Google Apps.
Once you’ve successfully entered into Recovery mode, the primary task you have to do is “Flash the CM12.1” ROM, Depending on the recovery the options will be different, but before doing it, either wipe everything or perform a factory reset. Once done with it, Click on “Install Zip File“, select that option and navigate to the location where you downloaded the ROM and select the ROM first. Once done with Flashing of ROM, perform the same steps and flash Gapps and reboot smartphone!
