Google has been among the biggest names when it comes to the world of technology. The company has been coming out with a number of updates and upgrades over the years, innovating the way we know technology to be. The company is now working towards their gen-next Pixel smartphones – Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2. The larger of the two smartphones has now been spotted on FCC listings.
The FCC listings don’t really tell us much, however they do confirm the fact that the Pixel XL 2 will indeed be manufactured by LG. The smaller of the two, Pixel 2 smartphone was spotted on FCC listing a few weeks ago. Today, the Pixel XL 2, too, has made it’s appearance here.
The phone is listed with the model number G011C. The brands of ‘Google’ and ‘Pixel’ are not mentioned anywhere. However, going by the model number it is safe to assume that this is indeed the gen-next Pixel smartphone from Google. To compare, the smaller, Google Pixel 2 smartphone features the model number G011A. Interestingly, this poses a question that if Google Pixel 2 is G011A and Pixel XL 2 is G011C, what happened to ‘G011B’, the alleged ‘Muskie’ smartphone.
As of now there’s no other detail about the phone which has appeared on the listing. However, with less than a month to go to the launch of the new Pixel devices, expect more information to drop over the weeks to follow.
Google is indeed taking things to the next level with their Pixel smartphones – it is expected that while the Pixel 2 would feature a regular phone with a squeezable edges, the Pixel XL 2 would feature a bezel-less design too. However, all information regarding the larger Pixel smartphone is based on speculation and we advise our readers to take it with a pinch of salt.
The non-XL model, however, has been seen in a number of leaks. Check out our detailed report of what the Google Pixel 2 would look like and it’s specifications and features.
