Google Fit Android app update brings home screen widget and quicker access to health progress

Google announced that its own fitness tracking app Google Fit will be getting a major update this week. The updated app which will be available on the Play Store shortly will make it easier to achieve your health goals,
The updated Google Fit app will finally bring in home screen widgets that will allow you to see your fitness progress at a glance. The widget will include information on Heart Points, Move Minutes and other useful statistics regarding your progress.
According to Google, the updated Android app will also feature your last workout on the home screen. So the next time you workout, you will immediately see what you did the last time. The app will also give you the option to adjust your activity intensity if you are logging your workout manually. It will even give you more accurate Heart Points for doing so.
Google said that this update was a result of user feedback and suggestions. They will release the update just before the Holiday festivities usher in.
