Apart from Google’s Nexus devices, other devices operate on AOSP (Android Open Source Project) version of Android and other customized user interface. Hardware companies take the AOSP version from Google and add their respective interface and launches the phones. These work pretty well for high end devices. But the low end devices are not able to cope with the customisations and suffer. That’s why Android One came into the picture.
