Announced back in November of 2017, the ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) is all set to make its US debut next month. The phone comes out with a massive battery and the biggest highlight of the device is that it supports face unlock. ASUS has been releasing a large number of smartphones in the US markets of late and this is their latest device.

In the US, ASUS has decided to launch only the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant of the device. Priced in at just $229, the phone is all set to come out in two color variants – Azure Silver and Deepsea Blue. A third, Gold Pink color which is available in other markets will not be coming to the US (for now).
While it isn’t exactly the best phone in the markets in terms of hardware – it has been made keeping modern day design standards in mind. The phone comes out into the markets with a 5.7 inched display which offers an 18:9 ratio and a resolution of 2160 x 1080. The phone runs on a MediaTek 6750T processor.
Talking about the cameras, the phone comes with dual cameras on the back which offer an impressive 16MP + 8MP setup. The 8MP camera has a wide-angle 120 degree lens. It also comes with a 16 MP camera on the front which is quite clear. Moreover, this is the camera which will help ASUS recognize your face to unlock the phone. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus (M1) runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS with ZenUI on top. One of the key highlights of the phone is also the 4130 mAh battery life which is quite impressive. The phone supports dual-SIM cards and comes with the 3.5 mm jack. It does not feature a USB Type-C port and comes with a micro-USB port.
