Asus has now joined the big battery club in India. The Taiwan based company’s latest offering the Asus Zenfone Max has a 5000 mAh battery, which not only allows the phone to go the extra mile, but can also be used to charge other devices with the USB-OTG cable provided in the box.
The Zenfone Max is launched at an affordable price of Rs. 9999(147 USD), and is available on Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal. While the main feature of the phone is its humongous 5000 mAh battery, which also charges other devices(via the USB OTG cable provided in the box), the main specs of the phone are also attractive at the price. The phone will also be available at Asus exclusive offline stores in India.
The main specs include:
- Dual Sim 4G
- 5000 mAh
- 5.5 inch IPS HD display (1280×720) with 178 degree viewability
- 13MP rear + 5MP front cameras with PizelMaster technology and Laser Autofocus
- Android 5.0 Lollipop with Zen UI 2.0
- 1 GHz SnapDragon 410 quad-core CPU with Adreno 306 GPU

The phone comes in two color variants white and black. Apart from the huge battery the phone’s high quality 13 MP rear shooter with dual-LED flash and PixelMaster technology are its great selling points. The PixelMaster technology with f/2.0 lenses allows Asus devices to have great low light performance and boosted contrasts. You can know more about Asus pixelmaster here
Asus claims that the Zenfone Max has a high standby time of 38.1 days, 37.6 hours of talktime on 3G network or 32.5 hours of Wifi powered web surfing.
