Asus launched the all new Asus Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5, Zenfone 6, in this post I’ll be writing the specifications of the standard budget Smartphone – The Asus Zenfone 4. Going through the specifications of the Zenfone 4. I will make certain conclusions in all the areas which a potential buyer focuses on, So now lets move towards the specifications.
- Operating System
- Internal Storage
- Display Quality
- Camera Quality
The Asus Zenfone 4 operates on Android OS. It comes with Android 4.3 JellyBean as a pre-installed OS but it is upgradable to the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. So if you want to use Android 4.4 KitKat and want to go with the Budgeted Smartphone then you can go with it.
The processor is responsible for all the processing that takes place in a device, the faster the processor is, the faster is the multi-tasking in the phone. So talking about the Zenfone 4, it comes with an 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2520 Dual-core Processor and will also come with GPU which will process all the graphical data. It comes with a PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU.
The ASUS Zenfone 4 comes with 1 GB RAM, according to me ASUS has done a great job by giving 1 GB RAM in this price. I still remember I got Spice Mi-310 (my first android smartphone) for 7,999 INR which had only 256 MB of RAM.
Being a budget smartphone the Asus Zenfone 4 will come with a 4/8 GB Internal memory, which will be used to store all the files on permanent basis. People who feel shortage of memory can use SD Card for storing files. The Zenfone 4 supports SD card up to 64 GB.
The Asus Zenfone 4 comes in 2 variants, one is the 4-inch variant and the other on is the 4.5-inch variant. The 4-inch variant will have the screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and the 4.5-inch variant will have the screen resolution of 850 x 480 pixels resolution. Both the variants supports multi-touch and has Gorilla Glass 3 which protects the Display.
The Asus Zenfone encompasses a 5 MP camera of 2592 x 1944 Resolution as the Primary camera and it has a 0.3 MP secondary camera which can be used to capture selfies and be used for Video Calling over networks. 5 MP Camera is not a choice for people who do a lot of photography, but 5 MP is a hero in the range.
Price is the main factor which is not a feature of a phone but which affects the mind of the potential buyer immediately, Asus Zenfone 5 will carry a price tag of 6000 INR. Yes, the Zenfone is really budgeted smartphone because it brings you all the features of High-end Smartphones in the budget of 6000 INR.
Colors play a vital role in selection of a device, some people prefer Black, some prefer white and there are many people who like other colors, the Zenfone 4 will come in 4 attractive colors. It will come in Black, White, Red, Gold, Blue colors. So if you are willing to buy any of the phone, then you can see the image and have a look at the colors.
After seeing the specs we have come to the conclusion that Zenfone 4 can be said as the best budgeted phone with all the high-end features from Operating system to RAM! It would have been great if Asus would have added a good secondary camera in it!
