This news regarding Google planning to do a reveal on the 21st was also reported by David Ruddock recently.
Evan Blass has now tweeted that Android O is scheduled to release on the week of 21st of August, with a high probability of it coming out on the 21st. The Android O release date has been speculated for weeks, and it now looks clear. There have been a number of times that this Android O release date has been speculated. The OS update was first supposed to come out in the last week of July and then the mid of July. However, it looks like the release date has been pushed for one last time.
Google is yet to release the name that will be given to the Android O OS. However, it is highly anticipated to be Android Oreo or Android Oreo Cookie. Moreover, this alleged Android O release date also coincides with a solar eclipse. David Ruddock had noted that Google does plan a big reveal on that day. Also, symbolically, an oreo cookie does resemble the solar eclipse a little.
