The Android Nougat OS has been universally praised as one of the best updates from Google. With over 2.8% of Android smartphones now running this update, Google is ensuring it rolls out to maximum possible users. While other flagships are still getting Android 7.0, the Google Pixel and Nexus smartphones, the two premium series of Android devices, are soon about to get Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS update. The update is likely to arrive for the users of these devices on the 3rd of April.
The information comes via the Rogers roadmap that emerged a couple of days ago. It shows an update dated the 3rd of April for the Pixel and Nexus users. As of this moment the users have not been informed as to what update this will be. However it is quite possible that this will indeed be the Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS update as it has been in beta testing for quite a while now.
About two months ago, Google had said that the next version of Android OS update will release in nearly two months. This time frame provided by Google ends later this month. While the information pertaining to the Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS update is not concrete as of now, it is highly likely that it will roll out in early April. The update will bring many new security improvements and bug fixes. It is not feature-heavy, but will tweak various aspects of the phone’s performance.
The only major change that we know to be coming out with the Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS too, is quite trivial. The new OS update will now allow users to set the location of their live wallpapers. They can choose to set it on home screen, or on the lock screen, or on both the places. Trivial as it sounds, this is the only known change in the Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS as of now. More changes are expected to be revealed as the update rolls out.
