The Android Nougat OS update has been rolling out to a lot of phones in the recent times. There have been a number of updates and over 2.8% of all Android users are now on the Android Nougat OS. The Android 7.0 Nougat OS update has been rolling out for many users, but today, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS update too has begun rolling out for OnePlus and ZTE. After OnePlus’s OxygenOS 4.1 update, the ZTE Axon 7 too, is getting this update.

ZTE announced the Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS rollout for the ZTE Axon 7 today. The update was announced by a blog post from the company, which said: “Today we’re rolling out another update with additional improvements including an upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1.1 to give you the best of what Google can provide.”

The Axon 7 got the Android Nougat OS update in February. The update from Android 7.0 to Android 7.1.1 has been quite quick for the device. Users on the T-Mobile network benefit a little extra than the other users. T-Mobile users will now be able to make Wi-Fi calls via the ZTE Axon 7. In addition to that, the Android Security Patch for February is also brought forward with this update.

The Android 7.1.1 brings many new features. Optimizations to the phone’s performance on the Google Daydream View VR headset have also been introduced following this update. The update is rolling out as an Over The Air (OTA) update and is expected to reach users in different regions over the next few weeks.

ZTE has been rather popular with the users in the past few months. Their brand Nubia too, has been doing well in the markets. The company was earlier known as a Chinese telecom giant which created telecom equipment. However, their run in the smartphone markets has earned them quite a reputation in the smartphone sector over the years. If you are a ZTE Axon 7 user, keep a lookout for the update!
