Google launched the Google Pixel 2 and the Google Pixel 2 XL recently. If you’ve carefully looked at both the devices, then you might have noticed that the Google Search box which used to appear on the top of the devices now seems to be at the bottom. It’s quite evident that all the people won’t be getting the Pixel 2 or the 2 XL, but they for sure can get the Google search box at the bottom of the screen.

Action Launcher

Action Launcher is one of the popular launchers on the Google Play Store. A recent update brings in some Android Oreo features and functionalities to the launcher. It also comes with the Pixel 2-style Google search box. However, it isn’t enabled by default. You’ll need to make changes in the Launcher settings to get the Pixel 2 like Google search box. The only sad thing about this is, you’ll need to upgrade to the “Plus” version to get this, which costs up to $5. In India, it costs around Rs. 150 for the plus version.

Get the Pixel 2 Like Search Box (Search Box at the Dock)

Before trying the steps mentioned below, make sure that you have the Action Launcher v29 or above installed on your android device. The update is rolling out on the Google Play Store, so we suggest you wait for a while. However, in case you are very much in a hurry to get the Pixel 2’s Search Box on your device, then you can download the APK from some trusted APK site. We still recommend waiting for some time.
